Ikekwere Mmadu Receives Delegation Of NBC, Press For Reestablishment Of NBC, To Create More Employment, And To Boost Revenue In Enugu

According to Senator Ikekwere Mmadu, I received a delegation of the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC)/Food and Beverages Recycling Alliance (FBR7A) led by the MD of NBC, Mr. Mathieu Seguin, who also doubles asked me 665 the Chairman of FBRA.

We had fruitful discussions on the need for a formidable partnership between the National Assembly and the FBRA to preserve our environment.

I also used the opportunity to press for the reestablishment of the NBC plant in Enugu to create employment and boost revenues for the State and its environs.

• 

Meanwhile, I must commend the NBC for factoring in several environmental sustainability innovations and projects in their operations, including the current pilot efforts to set up a number of Recycling Banks in Abuja and Lagos to bring recycling closer to the communities and empower thousands of women economically across the value chain.

• 

It is hoped that the project will be extended to the South East and other regions in no distant time.
